Application for Conference Travel Funding through Sigma Xi and the Professional Opportunities Fund
Support can be provided for current Swarthmore College students with NSE Division majors who will present research findings at national scientific conferences/meetings. Your application submission here will be considered by both the Sigma Xi and Professional Opportunities Fund (POF) Program Coordinators.
Funding is provided by the Provost’s Office and/or the Swarthmore College chapter of Sigma Xi. It is administered by the Program Administrative Coordinator - Debbie Thompson (firstname.lastname@example.org). Inquiries about this application should be directed to Debbie.
Prior to travel, please review the reimbursement instructions and report requirements found on the 'Funding' page on the Sigma Xi website.
Applications should be submitted no later than
prior to your conference/meeting.
Each Swarthmore student who is planning on attending a conference/meeting must submit their own application.
Budget allowances and restrictions are described in each section of this application where budget information is required. Please review this information as you complete your budget.
Students who are awarded travel funds are required to submit a brief report at the conclusion of the experience.
